Day #18 - In Color

When I was planning for a big Starwood IT conference back in 2007, I learned all kinds of new terms that are used in big convention services. One was “run of show”. It’s basically a chronological script of how the days events will progress. No detail is left out. I’m looking over the run of show with the audio visual lead. Right at the top I see “Intro - VOG”. I asked “what’s VOG”. She replies “that’s Voice of God. It’s when we announce you to the room on the PA. VOG will handle all general announcements and speaker intros”. Cool, Voice of God. Another new term.

When I first heard Jamey Johnson’s “In Color”, I was blown away. This guy truly has the Voice of God. It’s a song I love but struggled to sing for years. I still don’t do it justice but wanted to include it here because of how powerful the lyric is, and because I’m in grandpa mode (see yesterday). I hope you like it and you should check other tunes by Jamey Johnson. He’s the real deal.
